wintery morning
The leaf swirled and drifted down,
The chilly breeze chilled up the atmosphere
I heard the bluebirds tweeting in the blue sky.

My best day ever
My best day ever
Parihaka
One day my whānau was planning to go to parihaka. Parihaka is a place where the maori and pakeha had war . But it was over a long time ago . The pakeha was attacking over the land. My great great grandfather was the translator for the maori and Pakeha.
It was 5 hour trip. The most boring thing about the trip was we had to wake up at 5;00 in the morning. I woke up early at 4:00 in the morning.
When we reached Parihaka my brother spewed because he got sick of the long drive. Mum and Dad decided that we need to go to the hotel instead of the Marae.
The next day I went to the Marae. I learnt what team I was in and what jobs I had to do. My team was the composters and we had to compost the food scraps. I met all my cousins at the marae. We had a good kai
( food) after we had done our jobs.
We had lots of fun mixing mingling with my cousins and extended whanau. It was the best day ever.
